Description

The Sakhir International Circuit in Bahrain is not only home to the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix. It also hosts GP2, Formula 3, GT endurance and drag racing. In 2020, one of the outer configurations of the circuit hosted the Sakhir Grand Prix as part of Formula 1. The ability to adapt the circuit for various competitions is explained by its design, which allows the track to be divided into several independent sections.

This racing arena is located 30 kilometers south of Bahrain's capital, Manama. Although the Sakhir Circuit is not designed to reach maximum speeds, cars can accelerate to 322 km / h on it. The circuit is 5.14 kilometres long and has 15 turns.

The circuit's grandstands can accommodate up to 70,000 spectators, of which 10,500 can be located in the main grandstand. This grandstand is an eight-storey tower with a roof terrace, VIP areas and a restaurant. In addition, the complex's infrastructure includes a media centre, a photography centre, a medical centre and other necessary services.

In 2007, the BIC complex received numerous awards for its high level of safety, technical equipment and professional work of race marshals.

From 11 to 13 April 2025, the Bahrain Grand Prix will be held here, offering three action-packed days: two practice sessions, morning and afternoon qualifying, and the race itself.
