Metallica to perform in Bahrain

The Al Dana Amphitheatre is an amphitheater carved out of a cliff in the picturesque Sakhir Desert that seats ten thousand spectators. The seats are carved directly into the surrounding rock, creating powerful natural acoustics and providing a panoramic view of the stage, and are also perfect for a rock band to perform in. 

Formed in 1981 by frontman James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich, Metallica found success in thrash metal. Today, the Los Angeles-based band remains one of the most successful rock bands of all time, having sold over sixty million albums in the United States. 

After their formation, the band quickly stood out thanks to their unique sound, which at the time set them apart from the glam rock scenes of Los Angeles and San Francisco. But the future of the band did not look so bright. Soon, problems began to arise between the original members of the band. In addition to the creators, James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, Ron McGovney joined Metallica on bass and Dave Mustaine as lead guitarist. This led to McGovney leaving the band. And so Burton was found. Burton's contribution to the development of the Metallica team was key to the development of the band. He was the only one with a musical education, and it was Burton who introduced James to this new world, taking their music to a whole new level. In 1983, they moved to San Francisco. It was the center of the early metal movement in the United States, and Metallica began to gain popularity.

After moving to New York, the band's first album, Kill 'em All, was released, and it was this album that defined a completely new genre of heavy rock, thrash metal, in which the band would continue to create its compositions for many decades. This trend was initiated by four bands: Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, and Mustaine's Megadeth. Metallica's second album, Ride the Lightning, could be called an icon in the history of thrash metal, it brought the band resounding success, and thirty million US dollars were spent on the release of the record.

Their third album, Master of Puppets, brought the band real success. It sold a million copies without a single radio single or music video, and the band was actively performing live at that time. That's why they've toured several times, including a six-month tour with Ozzy Osbourne.

Over the years, Metallica have released eleven full-length studio albums, each of which has been successful. The musicians continue to sell out stadiums of thousands of people around the world, and their performance in the winter will be another grand show that can't be missed. Their first producer Jon Zazula once said of the band: "Metallica is the answer to America's prayers."
